Opening of the Gundam factory Yokohama is October? Not in Summer?
Honestly, we were really disappointed about the news that the Gundam factory Yokohama will open in October. According to the announcement last year, it actually was going to open in Summer 2020…
We’ve already started searching for hotels in Yokohama that have good access to the Gundam factory Yokohama.
Our next stay in Japan is already scheduled from July to the beginning of August. We were very excited to visit the Gundam factory Yokohama with the moving Gundam in life size. We can NOT visit it this year?!

Pre open is in July and August
Don’t worry, if you are also planning to visit the Gundam factory Yokohama this Summer, you can visit it before the official opening. Visiting is possible, but watching the moving Gundam in life size not possible.
In the weekend of July and August, you can visit it. Tickets for the pre opening are going to be available to purchase from April on. Hopefully, we can get our tickets for this pre opening.
