If Goro san had not visited this cafe, we would have never had the idea to visit here

We got off Kotakemukaihara station for our first time, only because of this bakery cafe “Machi no Parlor” (Parlor of this town).

If Goro san had not visited this cafe, we would have never had the idea to visit here, this was a really quiet residential area in Tokyo, not for tourists.

A reservation for lunchtime is not possible

We visited this cafe around 11:00 on weekday, reservations are possible, but only for dinner time, so in order to avoid waiting in line, we came there a little bit earlier than lunchtime.

But we had to wait over 1 hour to take our seat, this cafe has only 22 seats and many people want to stay longer because of the relaxed atmosphere.

While waiting, we sat on the bench and flipped over some magazines and books, a kindergarten is directly next to this cafe, so we could hear children’s playing voices, there was such a peaceful ambience. It was a good experience to get in touch with the daily life in Tokyo.

All breads taste amazing & try the salciccia indeed

When we finally took our seat, we were starving, but we had to make a hard decision when ordering like Goro san. For our dishes, we had to choose our favourite bread from a long list.

We decided that each one orders a different bread, so we could taste all kinds of bread. All breads tasted wonderful, our favourite was a french bread with wheat yeast.

You must try the salscicca which Goro san also ate!  Because we wanted to eat salcicca again, we visited this cafe one year after.
