We buy a Kuru Kuru Takoyaki in Japan every year.
We already posted the Tanoshii Osushiyasan from Kracie, but our favourite Popin Cookin product is this Kuru Kuru Takoyaki (rolling fried octopus dough balls).
The Sushi looks real one, but its taste was sweet, sure, creating sushi is very fun, but it reminded us that it is not real while eating.
The Kuru Kuru Takoyaki is different, the “cooking” process is much easier than the sushi, but it tastes like real Takoyaki!

The latest version was upgraded
Because we got a new one, we made the one we bought last year first. The new version has added fried green seaweed, it is more realistic than the old version.
The octopus and dough were separately made and warmed up together in the the microwave.
Kuru kuru means rolling, because when making real Takoyaki, the dough should be rolled in order to have a round shape.
For this Popin Cookin version, it is only rolled once.

When mixing the mayonnaise powder, you should be careful.
The old version has no green dried seaweed powder, but it looks really good too.
The reason there is white powder on some of the Takoyakis is, that the mixing of the mayonnaise powder was not good enough… When we pushed the mayonnaise out of the package, this white powder rushed out… But it tasted really good!
